Alienware Unveils 55-Inch 4K OLED Gaming Monitor at Gamescom
Alienware never fails to impress, and at Gamescom 2019 it set jaws dropping left and right with a range of updates and a 55-inch OLED monitor.
Alienware 55 OLED
A definite highlight from Alienware’s unveilings is the brand’s 55 OLED Gaming Monitor (AW5520QF). The 4K UHD screen boasts 98.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage as well as AMD Radeon FreeSync to minimise graphic distortion. Also, the built-in speakers are tuned with Waves MaxxAudio for audio accuracy and clarity.
The 55-inch OLED display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and an equally impressive starting price tag of £3,199.99 when it lands in the UK at the end of September.
Alienware 34 Curved Monitor
The new Alienware 34, 34-inch WQHD 120Hz curved monitor (AW3420DW) is equipped with a fast IPS response time and IPS Nano colour technology that provides 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Additionally, there’s the 120Hz (native) refresh rate and NVIDIA G-SYNC display tech that all adds up to smooth and realistic images. The monitor also features AlienFX lighting with four customisable zones. The Alienware 34 will be available from August 28 starting at £1,099.99.
Alienware 27 – 240Hz
If you need for speed, then the Alienware 27 (AW2720HF) is the one you should be checking out as it’s the brand’s first 240Hz gaming monitor.
Thanks to the new fast IPS technology that incredible refresh rate is matched by a true 1ms response time (grey-to-grey) with AMD Radeon FreeSyncTM. Additionally, the display’s native FHD resolution has games running at 1080p pin-sharp. The IPS screen delivers a wide-viewing angle and 99% sRGB coverage. The Alienware 27 is available in the UK from September 17, starting at £419.99.
Alienware Hybrid Mouse
Also noteworthy is the Alienware Wired/Wireless Gaming Mouse – AW610M. The nifty gaming peripheralprovides the best of both worlds. In wireless mode, you get a class-leading battery life of up to 350 hours on a single charge. Additionally, fitted with Alienware’s best-in-class Alienware 16,000 DPI sensor, you also get an impressive 1,000Hz polling rate in both wired or wireless mode.
Rounding out the specs is the custom adjustable scroll wheel, 7 fully programmable buttons and 16.8 million AlienFX RGB lighting. The AW610M is available in the UK from August 20 for £149.99.
Alienware Mechanical Board
